Classes

Gorilla House Gym, Altoona offers several solid Group Exercise Classes and Barbell Club.

 

BOOTCAMP is an interval training class, mixing calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio and strength training. With a new workout each week, these classes are designed to push participants harder than they’d push themselves and to always keep the body guessing. Bootcamp class is led by Tim Settle and can be modified and adapted for all fitness levels. Bootcamp class is Monday and Wednesday at 5:30pm and Sunday at 9:00am. Bootcamp is part of our Gold Membership or is a $10 drop-in.

 

HIIT is a high intensity interval class that incorporates several rounds that alternate between several minutes or seconds of high intensity movements to significantly increase the heart rate to at least 80% of one’s maximum heart rate, followed by short periods of lower intensity movements. HIIT is led by Jordan Terry and is Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00pm and Saturday at 9:00am. HIIT is part of our Gold Membership or is a $10 drop-in.

 

Endurance and Stamina class includes activities that increase your breathing and heart rate such as running, sprinting, the various ERG machines and jumping rope. Endurance activity keeps your heart, lungs and circulatory system healthy and improves your overall fitness. Endurance and Stamina Class is led by Micah Marshall and Andrew Wedel. Classes are Tuesday at 6:30am and Sunday at 9:00am. This class is part of our Gold Membership or a drop-in is $10.

 

Friday Night at the Bar. This is a fun class full of camaraderie and movement. Scott Farabaugh leads you through a fun workout that could be anything from barbells to an obstacle course. This class is part of our Gold Membership or is a $10 drop-in.

 

Barbell Club. Barbell Club is a multifaceted program that includes barbell movements (deadlift, squats, bench press, and Oly movements), dumbbells, balance, rotational and explosive movements and a cardio endurance portion. Barbell Club is coached by Jeremy Claypoole and Angela Ross. Classes are Monday and Wednesday at 5:30am, 6:30am, 4:30pm and 5:30pm; Friday at 5:30am, 6:30am, and 4:30pm. This class is part of our Platinum Membership or is a $15 drop-in.
